Most furnishing regret comes from putting the right fabric in the wrong room. Here is what each one is actually good at.
The question every customer asks at the counter. Measure your rod, not your glass, and the maths below is exactly what our tailor does.
Measure the curtain rod or track end to end, and from the rod down to where you want the curtain to finish.
Assumes 50 inches of usable width on a 54-inch roll and 16 inches total for header and hem. Patterned fabrics need extra for repeat matching — our team confirms on site.
Cotton and linen on a gentle cycle, cold, mild detergent, no bleach and no fabric softener — softener coats the fibre and kills absorbency in towels.
Direct Indian sun bleaches dyed cotton within a season. Line dry in shade, inside out, and the colour you bought is the colour you keep.
Face fabric and lining shrink at different rates in water. Lined and blackout curtains should be dry cleaned, which is why we stitch removable hooks.
Turn a wool rug 180 degrees every six months so foot traffic and sunlight wear it evenly. Vacuum without the beater bar on hand-knotted pile.
They measured, stitched and installed eleven windows in one visit. Not one hook out of line.Ritu AgarwalGomti Nagar · Made to measure

We measure every window, recommend track or rod, carry swatches to see in your own light, and give you a fitted quotation the same day.
Multiply the rod width by the fullness you want — 2× for a standard pleat, 2.5× for a fuller look. Divide by the usable fabric width (about 50 inches on a 54-inch roll) and round up: that is your number of drops. Each drop is the window height plus 16 inches for header and hem.
A 60-inch wide, 84-inch tall window at 2× fullness needs 3 drops of 100 inches — about 7.6 metres. The calculator above does this for you.
For cotton, 300–400 thread count in long-staple cotton is the sweet spot for Indian weather — breathable, durable and softer after a few washes. Numbers above 800 are usually achieved by counting multi-ply yarns and do not make the sheet better. For linen, thread count is irrelevant; judge it by GSM, where 160–190 is ideal.
Yes, within 20 km of the store, with no obligation to order. Our team records every window, recommends track or rod, and gives a fitted quotation the same day. Stitching and installation are included in the quoted price.
Ten to fourteen days from approved measurements for a typical three-bedroom home. Blackout linings and motorised tracks add about a week. Installation is scheduled with you and takes a single visit.
For west and south-facing windows, use a dense weave in a solution-dyed or pigment-dyed fabric, ideally with a blackout or dim-out lining. Polyester blends and blackout-lined cotton hold colour far longer than undyed linen, which fades noticeably in direct Indian sun within two to three years.
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, no bleach, no fabric softener, then line dry in shade. Lined curtains should be dry cleaned to avoid differential shrinkage between face fabric and lining. Wash new colours separately for the first three washes.
Yes. Any six fabrics, couriered free anywhere in India. Fabric looks completely different under your own light, and we would rather you decide at home than regret it after stitching.
